Blaney + Dr Rob & the Radi8ors + Lover + The Reformers

Doors:

Dublin Castle

94 Parkway NW1 7AN London

Gig Description

Blaney- with new album ‘The Severance’ turning a lot of heads all round Europa, Salford maker shaker, ex Fall guitarist and superb songwriter Ed Blaney and his excellent band return to the Dublin to demonstrate the new wave in spiritually inclined pop eyed rocknroll with grey matter attached.  Dr Rob & the Radi8ors-Indie with a hypnotic psych element but played in a post punk manner and featuring a pretty unique female vocal… sorta Deaf School via The Velvets...Lover – big and bold soul inflected pop rock…starring a great gutsy vocal from Sarah Bradbury , a techy ’80s crossover sound, big guitars, dance/hiphop textures and a chant along chorus perfect for radio – as they say ‘A cross between the song you can’t get out of your head, and something you’ve never heard before but are desperate to hear again, Lover will stimulate your aural senses with music from the depths of dark and twisted cognition’….The Reformers-Spritely twisty turny alterno guitar pop with a skanking punkinesss…in fact they’re a ska band (originals mind) but a very punky one- as if 1st album Clash were playing ska basically, neat.
