Live: Cam Deas (LP launch), Extnddntwrk, Graham Dunning, Mücha

Following our first sold-out show at New River Studioss we continue on our mission to bring you some of the most exciting, forward-thinking artists exploring the outer regions of experimental electronic music.

For our next event, we’re honoured to bring you an exclusive album launch from Cam Deas whose next long player will be his début on the Death of Rave label.

We have a rare solo show from one half of the Sleaford Mods under his EXTNDDNTWRK moniker.

We will also present a live coding performance from Graham Dunning - Artist, an artist who has intrigued audiences across the globe with his unique approach to techno.

The icing on the cake will be an exclusive performance of One Infinite Loop from reclusive artist Mücha, following the release of her cassette last year on Hackney’s own Blank Editions.


Cam Deas

Cam Deas is a London-based musician and sound artist. Known previously as a solo guitarist and more recently for his live electro-acoustic work, he is currently working with pure synthesis. Deas treats synthetic sounds like alien orchestral sections, exploring polytempos and abstract sounds to create intense yet organic, ever-shifting, immersive sound environments. His upcoming record, Time Exercises, is due out soon on The Death Of Rave.

Over the last 10 years, Deas has performed hundreds of concerts internationally, most recently as a series of collaborations of live and installation work alongside artists from Shanghai and Beijing. This will be his first London show since 2015.

‘Long before the man with the fixed stare, bottle in hand, e-cigarette and laptop found a home as one half of Sleaford Mods, Andrew Fearn was making music at home comprising samples, loops, frazzled electronic textures, deep bass rumbles, mutated beats, punk snarl, post-dancefloor meltdown mayhem and all manner of other abstract sounds. Rammed home by the same DIY sensibility that drives Sleaford Mods, Andrew’s (mostly) solo works are where he cuts his teeth on new ideas, fresh sounds and music that sways heavily between that of a chemical-soaked film soundtrack and an obvious passion for all things that filter in from those less obvious edges most people prefer to keep at bay’.

Graham Dunning - Live coding set

Graham Dunning’s live work explores sound as texture, timbre and tactile object, drawing on bedroom production and recycling found objects. He has performed solo and in ensembles across the UK, Europe and Canada, and exhibited in the UK, Europe, New Zealand and the USA. He has released through Entr’acte, Seagrave, and Tombed Visions.

For TAL002, Graham will be performing a live coding set using TidalCycles software, slowly building up tracks piece by piece to form rich polyrhythmic and techno-leaning material.

Mücha presents: One Infinite Loop

Whilst Mücha' s debut album The Colour of Longing explored the synaesthetics of space and desire, this performance piece uses cassette loops of varied duration to explore time, the proximity of past events to present events and the cyclical repetition of those events.

Forthcoming releases from Mücha include a compendium album on Misc. and a conceptual album that explores the vastness and complexity of the internet.
