Gig Description

The Sonic Jewels- Counterculturally cool, psychedelically sensational, glimmering rocknroll with a trippy undercurrent taking in Hendrix and the MC5… Thee Deadtime Philaharmonic– Influenced by Bowie,Velvet Underground,James Brown,Happy Mondays,Little Richard,The Clash,Tricky,Lee Perry,Small Faces,Sex Pistols,Dub Pistols, their militant working class stance caught the eye of Clash legend, Mick Jones who took Deadtime out as special guests. Since the tour Murdoch has recorded a single and album with The Tribunes on Honest Jons Records, containing Mick Jones rhythm section from Carbon/Silicon. The Clash connection continued when Strummerville (The Joe Strummer Foundation For New Music) invited Deadtime into the family by funding their first single, double a-side ‘Moths/Spine’ with producer Paul Tipler (Idlewild, 80s Matcbox, Dr Feelgood,Elastica) Strummerville also added ‘Spine (demo) to their prestigious DIY download page. Politically charged lyrics which gives it all an edge, they say soul/rock/electro but its more Britpop, like Stone Roses via a dark twisted electro vibe.  Ooberfuse–  Superb new single ‘Never Give Up’ inspired by meetings with North Korean Labour camp escapee Shin Dong Hyuk in the summer of 2016. Ooberfuse are Hal St John and Cherrie Anderson,  unafraid to deep-sea dive into the deepest oceans of human emotions to colour-up drab contemporary life.  Support for Ooberfuse has come from various credible music tastemakers such as Paul Oakenfold, Sister Bliss (Faithless), Ministry of Sound, BBC Introducing’s Tom Robinson, BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, Amazing Radio’s Jim Gellatly, Music Week and DJ Mag. Ooberfuse bring East and West together showcasing  Cherrie’s excellent clear as a bell vocal via progressive songcraft and tangential sweet electro dance pop. JVNR (pronounced Jooner) is a solo electronic pop artist from South Korea. Commercially astute, uplifting fare with ecstatic surges of electro drama and big, swooping vocal performances- kind of redolent of what Howard Jones was doing in the 1980s plus a funky, progressive undercurrent- I wonder if he has a Dancing Man In Chains- Little Rocket Man maybe?
