JD Kelleher- The Irishman who took a cover of the Joy Division‘s’ classic ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ to No.1 in the charts of his native Ireland a couple of years ago. A nicely twangsome, moody crooner’s version it was too from the singer/ actor/director , now rocknroll maverick. His own songs are strident punky onslaughts on glam punk sensibilities: tons of great tunes and a rocknroll vision of the LGBT mindset. Timbertwig-Slowburning hypnotic alt rock featuring ex-members of Setanta signings Tram, tunes build nicely with a wash of psychedelia reminds of Slint in places or a folk-infused Spacemen 3, great Anna Tosh- A stripped down taut and dynamic take on moody alt pop which recalls The Rapture and Throwing Muses, straightforward, to-the-point and has the requisite hooks, great stuff. The Tomicks- Highly accomplished rock-pop, with an early 70’s feel,m great arrangements and playing all round, recordings feature one of Simply Red, musically it’s elton John via Harry Nillson, great tunes full of Melody and hooks and a superb production, all good
