Tipped by Elbow's Guy Garvey and championed by 6 Music’s Marc Riley, Low Chimes' recent singles have picked up extensive 6 Music and blog support. Their highly anticipated debut album is set for release in the Autumn of this year.
Known until recently as Hot Feet and having released two acclaimed EPs under that moniker, they return with an expanded 5-piece line-up, including former Laura Marling band member, Pete Roe.

Now, with a more expansive sound that explores territories beyond their retro roots, the addition of synths, samples and other electronics lend the music exciting new shades and nuances. Marianne Parrish's narratives of nature, seasonal change and new beginnings serve as metaphors for darker themes - strands of solitude and escapism contrast with messages of hope.

Low Chimes are a complex and hugely exciting band pushing to find new ground for alt-folk and indie rock.

A rising star on the London alt-folk scene, American singer-songwriter Robert Chaney counts Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams and Judee Sill as influences. A remarkable songwriter with a voice to send shivers down your spine, sown deep into his songs are threads of the dusty blues of the 20s and 30s, pulp noir tales of the 40s, the cable-knit folk revival of the 50s, and the French celluloid new wave of the 60s. His recently released debut album 'Cracked Picture Frames' garnered high praise in the music press, with Folk Radio UK making it their featured album of the month.
